AAJA to Host Tea Talk with Rep. Jung Cheong Rae, Longest Filibuster in Korean History

AAJA Seoul invites members and friends to a tea talk with Rep. Jung Cheong-rae of the main opposition Minjoo Party of Korea.

He delivered a speech of 11 hours and 39 minutes on Saturday in protest of the ruling party’s push to pass a government endorsed anti-terrorism bill.

Now he has a record for the longest speech in Korean parliamentary history.

We will get to hear his view on filibuster and the anti-terrorism bill which he thinks will threaten personal freedoms and privacy if passed into law.

Admission is free for members and 5,000 won for non-members. Interpretation will be provided.

When: 10am March 1 (Tuesday)
