Ironically those living in Korea could not access to KBS World, for whom I translated News 9 in real time back in 2003, because it only airs outside Korea mainly for Koreans living abroad.
I think KBS has been cautious about airing it in Korea due largely to some politicians heavily lobbied by Arirang TV, the country’s state-funded English-language TV station for whom I worked in 2006 to 2009.
It is safe to say Arirang TV is a de facto propaganda mouthpiece for the Korean government. Please share your thoughts.
